TikTok has announced the launch of Donation Stickers, a new feature allowing creators to raise money in their videos and TikTok LIVE streams.
To help its users make a positive impact on the world, TikTok is launching in-app Donation Stickers, a new interactive feature that users can embed in their videos and TikTok LIVE streams, just like other effects on the platform.
After Donation Stickers are embedded, users can tap on them to easily submit their donations through a pop-up window – without ever leaving the app. The feature, announced earlier this week by Sean Kim, Head of Product at TikTok US, allows creators to raise money for the charities and causes they care most about by interacting with their communities.
Donations are enabled by a charitable fundraising platform – Tiltify – which processes donation transactions securely through its own platform. TikTok has also partnered with a range of organizations that it says “support vulnerable groups that are reflective of some of TikTok’s thriving communities yet have been deeply impacted by the health and economic damage caused by the pandemic.”

Furthermore, to provide more support to communities that have been impacted by COVID-19, TikTok will be matching user donations made through the Donation Stickers until May 27. The hashtag #doubleyourimpact will automatically be added to videos and TikTok LIVE streams that use the stickers.
“Tiltify was created to provide a simple but engaging way for charities and content creators to raise funds through popular social platforms,” explains Michael Wasserman, CEO of Tiltify. “The partnership with TikTok is our first mobile-driven integration and will make it easier than ever for hundreds of millions of TikTok users around the globe to support their favorite charities and causes.”
Users are able to donate to the following charitable partners: CDC Foundation, James Beard Foundation, Meals on Wheels, MusiCares, National PTA, National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), No Kid Hungry, The Actors Fund.
