On Monday November 4, TikTok announced TikTok for developers, its first SDK, allowing third-party apps to add a direct sharing feature.
TikTok is to join the list of social platforms that offer integration with third-party apps via a software development kit (SDK.)
“TikTok offers lots of creative filters and editing tools, and we want to continue giving our users the tools to create whatever they can imagine. We’re excited to extend our creative offerings with our new developer program.” – the company shared in a blog post.
TikTok has partnered with seven apps which will offer a shortcut to post directly from their app to TikTok, like mobile video editor Adobe Premiere Rush or Plotaverse, an app that lets you transform still photos into animated GIFs.
