TikTok last week announced the launch of TikTok Academy, a new education platform to help marketers develop TikTok expertise.
In an effort to help teams become better at using its platform for business, TikTok has launched TikTok Academy, a new global education platform, “providing not just the ‘how-tos’ of TikTok but also the key insights that will enable media and creative excellence on the platform.”

The platform is described as “an always-on, curated learning experience” aimed at educating audiences around the world on how to “best utilize TikTok for Business” through a range of courses to turn digital marketers into TikTok professionals.
Those who enrol in TikTok Academy will experience gamified interactive courses, quizzes, tokens and badges. Badges are awarded each time a participant successfully completes a course and can be shared easily on social media. For teams, badges are awarded to individuals, not to the company they work for.
TikTok Academy was created for all kinds of audiences – from the most junior to the most senior experience levels, across disciplines and job functions. It seems perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to use TikTok more effectively, regardless of the size of their company or their specialization.
“TikTok Academy has been a tremendous resource for our organization – enabling us to become subject matter experts in all facets, capabilities, and applications of the TikTok platform,” said Brendan Slattery, Associate Director of Partnership Development at Kinesso, an IPG Agency. “From new hires to our leadership teams, the curriculum is hyper-relevant to all levels of our organizational needs.”
Currently, TikTok Academy is launching two curriculums: The 101 Course and the Small Business Course.
The 101 Course (2-4 hours) includes a global overview of TikTok’s product offerings, how it keeps its platform safe for brands, its creative best practices, and more.
The Small Business Course curriculum comes as four 15-minute lessons that were specially designed for small and midsize businesses that will be able to learn how to create their Business Account, make engaging videos, connect with their audience, and drive sales with the platform’s tools, features, and advertising solutions.
