Mixing pop culture with dark humor, Alex Solis can ruin your childhood. Warning, what’s below cannot be unseen, are you ready?
Did you grow up loving Disney movies? Are you a fan of Baby Yoda or love iconic popular characters such as Betty Boop, Barney or Mickey Mouse? Chicago artist Alex Solis has mixed the right kind of pop culture with a lot of dark humor to show you the ‘Unseen” and the often dark side of your favorite childhood characters.
In his series “Unpopular Culture” Alex is going (too) far in revealing what is under our favorite pop culture characters: “This new series I created more so as a fun project to view the unpopular side of pop culture,” he says. “I wanted a ‘reveal’ type of series, so the user also feels like they’re a part of the series, with some interaction to the reveals.”
Final warning: this may ruin your childhood… Let’s go! (scroll down all the way our favorite!)
