TV’s new favorite baby is set to come back this October, as Disney announces season 2 of The Mandalorian.
The Internet loves him. Baby Yoda is the new TV sensation, ever since he appeared in Disney’s Star Wars series The Mandalorian. The show has been a huge success for Disney+, Disney’s new streaming service, giving a real boost for the platform which has now surpassed 28 million subscribers.
Baby Yoda is not the only reason behind the series’ success of course. The show itself is solid and has won the heart of many viewers, Star Wars fans included. This is why Bob Iger, Disney CEO, was quick to announce – during the company’s quarterly earnings call – that the show will come back for a second season.
The Mandalorian, season 2, is due to hit our screens in October 2020 and there is no doubt that Disney will be keen to heavily promote its return. Iger also hinted at potential spin-offs that could give an even more prominent role to Baby Yoda, because we all need it.
Because I think we all need some #babyyoda right now. #starwars
