This is not your typical Star Wars collab. Just in time for Star Wars Day, Barbie announced its second line of dolls inspired by the franchise.
Ther are so many Star Wars collaborations, you would think they might not be able to surprise you anymore. And yet, here it is, Barbie x Star Wars collection.
The first collection was released last year and included Darth Vader, R2-D2 and Princess Leia (all 3 dolls from the first line are now discounted on Amazon). And now, the most famous doll brand is coming back with its second line inspired by the Star Wars franchise. Welcome C-3PO, a Stormtrooper, Rey, and… Chewbacca!
But don’t expect exact replicas. Barbie explains that these dolls are “takes on” the famous Star Wars characters, a reimagining “through a high-fashion filter.” It probably will be the most fashionable Chewbacca you will have ever seen.
