We wrote about Pablo a few months ago – a great tool from Buffer that helps you create images for use on social media. Buffer has just updated Pablo to version 2.0 allowing you to create the right size images for Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook and others. It is also now making it a lot easier to use Pablo with content from across the web.

The new Pablo outputs three dimensions that are perfect for posting in Pinterest, Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Tall & vertical for Pinterest and Google+, Short & horizontal for Twitter and Facebook, and as square for Instagram and LinkedIn.
You can either upload your own image to add a logo or text to, or simply choose from a ready library of images within Pablo. There are now quite a few ready quotes that you can chose from, or you can add your own text. Text can also now be justified.

You finish up by downloading the image in different dimensions or simply share it straight to your chosen social channels. Buffer suggests that the following image sizes are used for each social network.
Facebook – 1,200 x 628
Twitter – 1,024 x 512
LinkedIn – 800 x 800
Google+ – 800 x 1,200
Pinterest – 735 x 1,102
Instagram – 1,080 x 1,080
Pablo, itself outputs images in three sizes: Horizontal at 1,024 x 512, square 1,024 x 1,024, and tall at 734 x 1,100.
Another cool feature of Pablo, is the ability to highlight any piece of text from across the internet and import it directly into the app to superimpose it on an image of your choice. Simply use the Chrome or Safari extension, right-click on your selected text and select “Open image with Pablo” or “Create image with Pablo”. You will be taken to Pablo to do the rest.
Oh, and another thing, before I forget. You can also schedule and post Pinterest posts from Buffer.
