LEGO Releases Nostalgic Nintendo Game Boy Set

LEGO is leveling up nostalgia with its newest release: a near-perfect brick-built replica of the original Nintendo Game Boy. The 421-piece set pays homage to one of the most iconic handheld consoles in gaming history, complete with realistic details that will hit right in the childhood feels.

Built to closely match the size and design of the classic 1989 Game Boy, the LEGO model includes all the familiar elements: the iconic +Control Pad, A and B buttons, SELECT and START, and even functional-looking design touches like the contrast dial and volume knob.

But LEGO didn’t stop there. The set also features a functioning Game Pak slot in the back, allowing builders to slide in and out two buildable cartridges: The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Land. Yes, they click in just like the real thing.

In a fun twist, the display screen is customizable too. Fans can choose from three different brick-built screen visuals: the original Game Boy start-up, a scene from Zelda, or a shot from Super Mario Land. The set even comes with a display stand, making it a centerpiece-worthy addition for any gamer or collector’s shelf.

The LEGO Nintendo Game Boy set will be available for pre-order starting July 24, 2025, and officially launches on October 1, 2025.
