Brands and creators can now schedule and promote their Instagram Live broadcasts up to 90 days in advance.
Earlier this week, Instagram started rolling out a new option that lets users schedule, plan, prepare and promote upcoming Instagram Live broadcasts within the app.
Broadcasters, globally, will have the option to schedule their future event up to 90 days in advance, right within the Live composer, where they can add a title and a description for their event.

And with the holiday season rapidly approaching, brands conducting live shopping experiences will be glad to know that they can also add product tags on the scheduled event ahead of a live streaming show.
This feature also supports recent social shopping trends, which indicate an increasing number of live-shopping events on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
With the new live scheduling feature, audiences will be able to tap on the scheduled stream to receive reminders the day before the broadcast and then again 15 minutes before the stream begins. In addition, creators can promote their upcoming events via a new Stories Sticker for Scheduled Lives.
In the coming months, Instagram will also be adding a new Live practice option, which will allow broadcasters to conduct an offline practice and test anything they feel unsure about, from their lighting and to their internet connection, before going live with their audience.
