In addition to helping creators turn their passions into something they can make a living with, Instagram is also committed to supporting small businesses in their bid to make better content on Instagram.
Now, based on feedback, Instagram is launching insights for Reels and Live, to help them better understand the performance of their content and help them plan better content in the future.
For Reels, creators will now be able to see metrics like Plays, Accounts Reached, Likes, Comments, Saves, and Shares.
Similarly, for Live, creators will be able to see Accounts Reached, Peak Concurrent Viewers, Comments, and Shares.
Instagram says it will now include these metrics in Account Insights as well, “to provide a broader picture into how Reels and Live shape an account’s performance.”
Furthermore, the platform is launching more detailed information about Reach in Account Insights, allowing creators to understand “more about how content is being distributed.”
Account Insights will feature a new breakdown to let creators know which types of accounts they’re reaching, and the content formats that are the most effective in terms of driving Reach.
In the next few months, Instagram will start to roll out new preset time frame options that expand beyond “last 7 days” and “30 days,” and will soon support Insights on desktop.
