Meta has announced that Instagram is testing minting and selling NFTs on its platform with a small group of Creators in the US.
The company is also expanding Instagram’s NFT showcase feature which is now available to users in over 100 countries.

Meta’s new digital collectibles toolkit for Instagram will let users create NFTs on the Polygon blockchain which can then be sold either on Instagram or on other platforms. Instagram will also let users display NFTs purchased from the Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow blockchains. This newly expanded feature is part of Instagram’s effort to help Creators make money on its platform
Instagram recently also announced it is expanding the rollout of professional mode and several tools and monetization options like tipping and subscriptions. The platform is also adding “gifts” that lets users send money to a creator while watching their Reels. Read more about NFTs on the Meta platforms.
