IKEA has teamed up with Pizza Hut in Hong Kong to create a life-size version of the miniature “table” found in pizza boxes.
You have thought about it every time you have ordered delivery pizza: what’s with this miniature table on your pizza? It is true that the “table” is there to make sure your pizza doesn’t get squashed on the way, but why does it look so much like a real table?
Well IKEA has teamed up with Pizza Hut in Hong Kong to create a life-size version of this miniature pizza “table.”
According to designboom, the table, called the “Säva”, was created to complement another collaboration between the two brands. Yes, the famous Swedish meatballs are now available on your favorite pizza! Well, in Hong Kong anyway.
“This campaign shows the playful side of Pizza Hut, and that our credentials can move beyond the kitchen into new and interesting collaborations with other brands,” said Wendy Leung, marketing director for Pizza Hut Hong Kong.
The launch campaign ads for this collaboration were both created by Ogilvy Hong Kong.
