The series starts with the selection of screen suggestions curated by Emmy-nominated actress and LGBTQ+ advocate, Laverne Cox.
In the show, Cox reveals that she’s a big fan of being on the audience side of the camera: “I still watch television and film as a way to learn, to escape, to be moved, to laugh, to cry. My watchlist is all of who I am and everything that has shaped me or helped me understand myself better,” she says.
Furthermore, the series will take viewers on a guided tour of the titles that inspired celebrities during their careers and personal lives – and introduces them to films and series often overlooked on Google TV.
Finally, the format looks at the watchlists of various celebrities and includes interviews with them about how they personally approach the experiences of watching the art of film-making.
