Google+ may be on the way out, but Google is cooking up many other ways to appeal to businesses lately. One of these is a new “Offers” section that appears on listings.
Offers are a great way to attract people to businesses; everyone knows that! To help more people see offers from businesses they search for, Google is bringing offers to search results, with a new feature that makes offers from businesses “more prominent” on their Business Profiles.
As explained by Amir Fish in a recent Google Blog post, the new offers layout provides a “dedicated space for business owners to feature their most recent offers—making a quick decision for their potential customers even easier.”
To add offers to their listings, business owners simply create a post in the Google My Business app and categorise it as an offer. They can then tailor all the details of the offer to their needs, adding a description, terms and conditions, and even a coupon code. As Fish explains, businesses can “can surface up to 10 unique offers in the carousel, providing a list of choices.”
