A few weeks after testing it on iOS, Facebook is now rolling out its new carousel video player for all web users. The new player lets you navigate through related videos, watch full screen and comment, like or share the videos right from the player.

Video is the BIG thing for Facebook. The battle is raging with rival platform YouTube and Facebook has been very inspired to improve the viewing experience and engage viewers. Of course, YouTube is always a great source of inspiration when it comes to video viewing.

Facebook has started to roll out a new “popup” video player where you can not only watch the video you chose to, but also navigate through similar “recommended” videos without leaving the player. Of course, all the usual Facebook features are available from within the lightbox, including the Like button, comments and shares.
The new player also includes recent add-ons such as “save for later” or “scroll,” the new feature that allows you to keep watching a video while scrolling through your Facebook Newsfeed.

You don’t have to do anything to start the player, simply click “play” on a video the same way you would usually do.
