We have heard everything about Facebook. It is on the decline, users are leaving the platform, especially youngsters…. Some people thought Facebook could not survive the new era of social media platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram or Tumblr for example.
But the truth is very different: Facebook is still very much the People’s champ.

In their May 2015 Connected Devices survey, Ofcom research have found that Facebook is not only still the largest social platform out there, it is also the one users visit the most frequently.

As you can see from the above chart, 80% of Facebook users visit their profile at least once a day, with 20% of them doing so more than 10 times a day.

On the other side, the least popular platforms in terms of frequency of visits, are Flickr, LinkedIn and Pinterest (we’ll forget MySpace in this case…).
It is interesting to note that reactive platforms likes Twitter, WhatsApp and Snapchat are all score high for multiple visits per day.
