Facebook has made a small, but much-requested update that allows Group admins to pin certain comments in discussion threads.
Groups have become a major part of the Facebook experience, and they keep many users engaged in ‘highly meaningful’ communities on the platform. Therefore, Facebook is constantly investing more and more resources into making them better and easier for their admins to manage their communities.
The latest update – the ability to pin comments in discussion threads – is a small, but a far-reaching one, as it will help start more discussion in Groups, further boosting engagement and interaction between users.

With the new feature, Group admins can highlight comments that are seen as the best or most relevant ones or a specific post – especially in Groups where people discuss and ask questions. Engagement in communities is growing by the day, and Facebook is looking to encourage it to grow further, especially in its communities.
The new feature also gives admins more control of the conversations going on in their groups.
