Facebook is adding a ‘Space Jam’ chat theme, an emoji search bar, and a ‘recent reaction’ feature to Messenger and Instagram DMs.
Facebook last week introduced three new updates that will make informal messaging more fun on Messenger and Instagram DMs: a new Space Jam chat theme, an emoji search bar to be able to find your favorite emojis more easily, and a ‘recent reaction’ feature.
Facebook is now making its new Space Jam chat theme available in Messenger and Instagram DMs. The features are meant to let users indulge in some nostalgia with the Bugs Bunny-inspired chat theme.
Furthermore, Facebook is adding to its emoji experience and expanding on how people can express themselves. In addition to launching Soundmojis, recently, it is also introducing two additional features to improve the user experience. After all, time is of the essence when texting.
Firstly, it has added an emoji search bar at the top of the reaction picker to quickly locate your favorite emoji. This allows for less scrolling through options.
Secondly, it has made it easier to react with the new recent reactions section of the reaction picker by collecting all of the most-recently-used user reactions to all show up in one accessible place.
The Emoji search bar and recent reactions are now rolling out globally.
