Bacardi has announced the launch of a new limited-edition run, complemented by the release of its first-ever NFT.
In honor of National Rum Day, Bacardi Rum is expanding its premium portfolio range with the launch of a new, limited-edition Bacardi Reserva Ocho Sherry Cask Finish rum, and the brand’s first-ever NFT.

The limited-edition rum – the first installment of a five-year Bacardi Reserva Cask Finish Series – will hit shelves in September.
In addition to the new rum, Bacardi is partnering with celebrity photographer Cam Kirk to collaborate on their first-ever NFT.
The NFT will be up for sale on September 1 on BACARDICaskNFT.com, and proceeds of the sale will go to the “Backing the B.A.R.” project, presented by the NAACP.
The initiative provides business acceleration grants, education, support, and entrepreneurship solutions for Black-owned bars, restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, liquor stores, and small businesses in the process of applying for a liquor license.
In other NFT-related news, Coca-Cola entered the metaverse with its first-ever NFT collection including a single lot of digital collectibles.
The “Friendship Box” was inspired by video-game loot boxes, and included items re-imagining how some of Coca-Cola’s iconic assets can be used in the metaverse.
