Apple Could Launch 3 New M5-Powered Devices This Week

Apple’s October 2025 product cycle is heating up, and this one could be all about power.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to announce three new “Pro” devices as soon as tomorrow, October 15, all powered by its next-generation M5 chipset. The lineup reportedly includes a new iPad Pro, a Vision Pro successor, and a 14-inch MacBook Pro, all dropping quietly, without a physical event.

1. M5 iPad Pro

The next iPad Pro is shaping up to be a serious performance bump.

Leaked unboxing videos from Russian YouTubers suggest a familiar design, minus the “iPad Pro” inscription on the back, but what’s inside is what matters. The M5 chip paired with at least 12GB of RAM reportedly delivers up to 12% faster multi-core CPU and 36% faster GPU performance compared to the M4 version.

One interesting detail: two front-facing cameras, one for each orientation. Apple seems to be optimizing the video-calling experience whether you’re holding it vertically or horizontally, a small but smart UX upgrade.

2. A New Vision Pro

The original Vision Pro may not have been the breakout success Apple hoped for, but the company isn’t giving up.

The next-generation model, rumored to come in Space Black, will feature a more comfortable “Dual Knit Band” and an R2 chip designed for improved input processing.

Built around the new M5 processor, this Vision Pro is expected to deliver faster performance while maintaining the same overall weight and design language. It’s still limited to Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, but refinements in comfort and usability could make it a more compelling entry point into Apple’s spatial computing vision.

3. 14-Inch MacBook Pro (M5)

The 14-inch MacBook Pro is also getting the M5 treatment.

While design changes are minimal, the upgrade positions this model as the first to feature the M5 chip, ahead of future M5 Pro and M5 Max configurations. Expect improved efficiency, better thermals, and incremental gains in speed.

Looking further ahead, Gurman notes that the M6 generation, expected in 2026, could be the one to watch, potentially introducing touchscreen functionality, OLED displays, and even cellular connectivity.

Beyond these launches, Apple reportedly has more hardware in the pipeline: new HomePod mini, Apple TV, and AirTag models are still on the roadmap, along with refreshed iPads, Studio Displays, and MacBook Airs expected in early 2026.
