Wunder, a small creative agency in Canada, decided to give everyone a break from ads during the holiday season.
The holiday season is usually time for blockbuster TV commercials and powerful ad campaigns across all media. It’s the busiest time of the year for creating ads and promoting brands.
Stephen Flynn and Mike Postma, the two creative geniuses behind Wunder, decided to launch a unique holiday campaign that would give everyone a break from ads during this holiday season.
“White Christmas” is a campaign that started two months ago when Stephen and Mike decided to secure a bunch of prime advertising placements to run completely blank white “ads” during the busiest advertising month of the year. The campaign includes billboards, transit shelters, bus ads, full-page newspaper ads, social ads, and even radio ads.
While the campaign did not advertise any product or brand, it is bound to create some buzz for Wunder. Smart play.
