Spotify now allows users to search for songs by its lyrics, something that Apple Music users have enjoyed for a couple of years.
It’s the little things that make all the difference. Today Spotify rolled out a new feature that will change the way you search for music. Available on iOS and Android, Spotify Lyrics Search allows users to search for songs by their lyrics, and not only their title.
It’s just the way it is, most of us can remember lyrics from songs but we often struggle to recall who is singing or what the title of the song might be. Of course, they are fantastic apps that can help you recognize a song that is playing, like Shazam for example. But what about when the song is only playing in your head, and all you can remember are a few words from it?
Enters Spotify lyrics search, as announced by Spotify designer Lina on Twitter:
Of course, lyrics search si something that Apple Music users have enjoyed for a couple of years already. But we won’t be ungrateful, it is awesome news that Spotify finally added the feature.
Now go try it, who sang: “…and I miss you like the deserts miss the rain.”
