WhatsApp has been busy lately, adding a host of new and exciting features to the platform. The latest? Streaming videos in its Android app.
After bringing video calling to all users, and testing a many new features on its Beta Android app, WhatsApp is now releasing a feature that makes it easier for users to watch videos that they receive from others! The feature is starting to become available on WhatsApp’s Android mobile app. If you’ve updated your app, you now will be able to watch videos while they stream, instead of downloading them.
There is news as to when users on other platforms will be able to get the new feature, but judging from WhatsApp‘s current speed of releasing new features and testing others, it is expected within the next few days.
The new feature has come about as a result of many complaints from users as to the bad experiences that they had with video sharing. It certainly makes users’ lives easier, as they can see what a video is without having to download the entire thing first.
