Twitter is a fast-moving platform: anything on your timeline is doomed to disappear within seconds, or minutes, at the most. That is, of course due to the nature of the platform, and there isn’t much you can do to avoid it.
A while ago, Twitter had rolled out the ability to “pin a tweet” to your timeline, allowing it to “stick” to the top of your profile timeline. But that’s it. Just one Tweet. The rest would still disappear over time when a new tweet is posted. Not great, right?

Featured Tweets
Twitter has been testing a new section on profiles: featured tweets, as you can see from this screenshot taken from the IFTTT Twitter account (check the profile too, the feature is still there as I write this):

The feature seems active on both desktop and mobile versions of Twitter. Featured tweets are a cool new way to keep your important tweets from disappearing within your timeline. And as far as we have learned, you can add as many tweets as you want to the section.
“Featured” tweets will no doubt benefit brands on social, especially when it comes to customer service. This seems to be the strategy Twitter has been following lately.
Of course, this is still just a test conducted among a few profiles but I can certainly see the benefit for brands and content publishers. It will finally offer them a way to add “stickiness” to some of their content.
