TikTok is officially rolling out bulletin board, a new one-to-many messaging feature that lets creators and brands share public updates directly with their followers.
If it sounds familiar, it’s because it is: bulletin board is essentially TikTok’s version of Instagram’s broadcast channels, first introduced back in 2023.
The feature is designed to help creators build tighter, more active communities by sharing news, previews, and exclusive content without the noise of the main feed. Only creators can post on their bulletin boards, while followers can react using emojis, no comments, no replies.
Bulletin boards support text, images, and video, and are currently available to creators who are 18 years or older and gave at least 50,000 followers.
Creators can activate the feature directly from their inbox and choose whether to display the bulletin board publicly on their profile. Followers can join by tapping the bulletin board name under a creator’s bio, once they opt in, all updates land straight in their TikTok inbox.

A New Tool for Community + Promotion
During testing, TikTok saw strong early adoption from artists and publishers:
- Musicians shared newly released tracks and encouraged pre-saves
- Media brands like People Magazine used it to push news updates
- Sports brands like Paris Saint-Germain used it to keep fans informed
TikTok positions bulletin board as a way for creators to share quick updates without resorting to Stories or regular posts, and as a tool for delivering more exclusive, high-intent content directly to their audience.
TikTok notes that bulletin board content is subject to the platform’s Community Guidelines and moderation processes, including both AI-powered tools and human review. Creators and followers also have access to TikTok’s standard safety controls: mute, block, and report.
As TikTok continues to borrow (and evolve) features from other platforms, bulletin board marks its latest move into creator messaging — reinforcing the industry trend toward private-style, opt-in broadcast communication.
