TikTok is launching ‘TikTok for Artists’ – a new insights platform to help musicians grow and connect with fans.
TikTok is doubling down on its role as a cultural engine for music. The platform announced the official launch of TikTok for Artists, a dedicated hub built to help musicians and their teams better understand, grow, and connect with their audiences.
If your song is popping off on TikTok, this is where you’ll now go to make sense of the numbers and turn momentum into strategy.

The launch follows a short test period in select markets and arrives as TikTok continues to play a key role in music discovery, from turning unknown tracks into global hits to reigniting interest in old catalog songs.
So, what exactly does TikTok for Artists offer?
At its core, it’s an insights and education platform tailored for music creators. Artists and their teams get access to a suite of analytics that breaks down:
- Song-level data: Views, posts using the song, and creator engagement
- Post-level performance: Views, likes, shares, and more
- Audience breakdowns: Follower age, gender, language, and more demographic info
But it’s not just about stats. TikTok is also making sure artists understand how to use the platform. The new dashboard includes step-by-step guides to TikTok tools and best practices for content creation, promotions, and community building.
And here’s the kicker: TikTok is also rolling out a brand-new Pre-Release feature. Artists can now let fans pre-save upcoming music drops directly to Spotify or Apple Music, giving them a seamless way to listen the moment the track goes live.
If this sounds like TikTok positioning itself more as a music marketing powerhouse than a streaming service, you’re spot on. The announcement comes just eight months after ByteDance quietly sunset its experimental TikTok Music app. At the time, the company said it would shift focus to “furthering TikTok’s role in driving even greater music listening and value on music streaming services.”
TikTok knows it’s where hits are born. It just wants to make sure artists can harness that power.
TikTok for Artists is now available in Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. The platform will be rolling out in other countries soon, TikTok says.
