After successfully launching its TikTok presence, French Soccer Ligue 1 is now introducing its first-ever TikTok challenge to rally fans worldwide.
French top soccer ligue launched its TikTok presence 9 months ago. Today it already counts over 1 million followers as Ligue 1 and TikTok are ready to step up their partnership.
TikTok is betting on its partnership with France’s top soccer Ligue to grow its audience in the country. Throughout the season, the LFP (“Ligue de Football Professionel”) and TikTok will create unique experiences for soccer fans in France and abroad.
Ligue 1 promises new ways of for fans to engage with their favorite teams and players, including:
- Livestreams from behind the scenes at Ligue 1 matches
- Hashtag Challenges with filters and special effects in the colors of Ligue 1;
- In-App Contests where the users can win numerous prizes;
- Filters in the colors of each Ligue 1 team.
September 30 will mark the official launch of the partnership between Ligue 1 and TikTok with the posting of the first hashtag challenge #jouelacomme (#BendItLike) which will invite the TikTok community to imitate and share the celebrations of their favorite players.
They will be able to enhance their creations with a filter specially developed for the occasion and available on the application. This first challenge will be accessible to fans of Ligue 1 worldwide and will be featured in the application in Europe.
This partnership is good news for both Ligue 1, which is seeking more international recognition as a soccer powerhouse and TikTok which is looking to expand its audience in France.
