Threads is rolling out a small but handy update that makes it much easier to re-share posts you’ve previously liked or saved. The app is adding a new dedicated listing for both, accessible directly from the composer, meaning you can now pull up your bookmarked inspiration right when you’re ready to post.

As shown above, you can now tap the quotation mark icon at the bottom of the composer to see a full list of posts you’ve liked and saved.
As Threads explains:
“In the composer, tap the quotation mark icon and you’ll see lists of the posts you’ve saved and liked. Choose the one that inspires you, add your take and quote it. This feature is available on iOS and rolling out on Android in the coming weeks.”
The feature is ideal for moments when a post sparks something, a reaction, a take, a joke, but you’re not ready to jump in immediately. Instead of digging back through your activity later, you can now surface that content instantly as you write.
It could also nudge users to save more posts for future reference, whether for inspiration, commentary, or receipts you might want to pull back up later (we’ve all been there).
While it’s a relatively small tweak, it adds frictionless access to content you care about, and that may ultimately encourage more people to post. That’s crucial for Threads, as social platforms continue to see growing consumption but shrinking creation. More users now scroll for entertainment rather than connection, meaning fewer actual posts and conversations.
To counter that, Threads has been rolling out a steady stream of engagement-focused features, from activity feed filters to temporary “ghost posts,” podcast-friendly tools, and more. By lowering the barrier to participation wherever possible, Threads aims to evolve from a passive feed into a more dynamic, conversational space.
And of course, more conversation also gives Meta more useful data to feed into its AI systems, another strategic layer behind the push for interaction.
