After more than 25 years of shaping digital lives, The Sims is stepping off the screen and onto the coffee table. Electronic Arts and Goliath Games have teamed up to launch The Sims Board Game, a playful adaptation that brings the franchise’s signature mix of everyday joys and unexpected chaos into the real world, but this time with dice and cards.

Designed as a family-friendly experience, the board game condenses the essence of The Sims into a shorter, more accessible format. Think less marathon gaming session and more casual evening with friends.
Released in the U.S. on August 15, 2025, for $19.99, the game is already available at Target and Amazon, with global rollout coming soon.
Each player takes on the role of a Sim with a specific aspiration to fulfill, collecting “SIMbols” along the way to reach their life goals.
The modular board is made up of neighborhood tiles that players explore to pick up action cards, visit iconic locations, and even encounter beloved characters like Bella Goth or Bonehilda, who can swing the score in your favor.
As in the digital original, the challenge lies in balancing your Sim’s everyday needs with long-term ambitions. It’s not as deep or open-ended as the video game, but that’s intentional. The board game leans into nostalgia, humor, and fan references, making it both instantly familiar and easy to pick up.
Part celebration, part reinvention, The Sims Board Game is a clever nod to the franchise’s 25-year history. By reimagining its core mechanics in an offline, social format, it offers fans a fresh way to connect with the universe and each other.
