The New Jordan AJNT23 Black Will Come In A Suitcase

18 years after the Air Jordan 17, the Jordan Brand has opted, once again, to launch a new shoe in a suitcase. Welcome the Jordan AJNT23, on August 19.

The AJNT23 – the latest lifestyle shoe from Jordan Brand and legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield – finally has a launch date. You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on a pair (if you are lucky enough, that is) as the new silhouette launches officially on August 19.

The AJNT23 is described as an embodiment of “basketball’s culture of creativity and self-expression by packing a host of utilitarian features into a bold and futuristic silhouette.” The shoe features a laceless look with a one-pull system with cables that cause a series of gold knobs to rotate when pulled,  as well as Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot.

These provide “responsive support” as they compress “before snapping back to provide optimal energy return.”

The shoe features three color blocks – black, white, and metallic gold, and is built out of ripstop fabric (uppers) and smooth nylon (side panels). The Jumpman logo is embroidered on the strap.

The design is limited to 2,500 pairs and comes in a very stylish, matte-black suitcase that features metallic hardware and a carry handle.

For those of you who can’t remember, the last time the Jordan Brand launched a pair of shoes in a suitcase like this, was February 2002. The shoe at the time? The Air Jordan 17.

The Jordan AJNT23 launches on August 19 and will be available from Nike.com and select retailers for $200 USD.
