The Blood-Soaked Freddy Krueger Air Max 95 Will Give You The Chills

Nike is dropping a new Air Max 95 featuring a “blood-soaked” Freddy Krueger-inspired color scheme.

When it comes to scary movies, very few beat “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Why you ask? Because nothing is worse than the fear of falling asleep, to me anyway.

But despite my legit fear of the movies (and Freddy Krueger himself), I am infatuated with the upcoming Air Max 95 “Freddy Krueger” and its blood soaked-inspired color scheme.

The shoe upper is made of mesh and canvas with deep red panels, paired with lighter, faded blue and brown, a soft note to Krueger’s tattered sweater.  It also features grey suede toecaps, checkered tongue, and metallic silver overlays speckled with blood-red in reference to Krueger’s favorite razor glove. The midsoles are light brown with red Air units and contrasting black rubber outsoles.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think this is Nike’s best design. But… you should still try to grab a pair of these Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger, because… they might be worth quite a few $$$ on marketplaces.

Nike once designed a pair of SB Dunk Lows with a similar colorway and reference to Freddy Krueger. While these were never released to the public, due to legal issues, some sample pairs had still made their way onto the sneaker market and the Freddy Krueger Nike SB Dunk Low has become one of the most valuable sneakers in history (currently priced at around $55,000 on StockX.)

This time, however, it seems like Nike will go ahead with the release as planned and the sneakers will see a wider public release. The Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger is expected to be part of a Halloween-themed pack that also includes a Dracula-inspired Nike Air Trainer 3.
