Amazon is offering a new way to buy a PS5, by requesting an invitation to buy. And what is even better is that you do not even need to be a Prime member to do so. Simply request an invitation on the console’s product page, and if you are selected, Amazon will send you an e-mail with a link to purchase one within 72 hours.
Amazon says it is currently testing this new system and might revert to the regular way of buying at any moment, depending on stock vs demand.
The PS5 has been hard to find ever since it launched in 2020. While the issue was partly caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, restocks have continued to be slow to come by in 2022.
