Your favorite AI DJ is getting a new feature, giving you more control over which songs you’ll hear on your Spotify.
Starting today, Spotify Premium subscribers can now use English voice commands to take control over what music they want their AI DJ to play.

To start, you will need to press and hold the ‘DJ’ button that’s located in the bottom right corner of your screen. Once you’ll hear the beep, voice commands are activated. Then you can ask the AI DJ bot for specific songs, beats or keep it vague and ask things such as “play some French electronic music for my morning commute,” or “surprise me with some tracks you know I’ll love but that I’ve never listened to before.”
Until now, all you could do is skip to the next set if you did not like the current vibe. Spotify says its new voice-powered AI DJ welcomes requests for specific artists, genres, and moods.
