TheGrefg’s stream didn’t just break the record for most concurrent viewers on an individual stream; it also surpassed Fortnite’s record for most viewers across the platform (2.3m views). TheGrefg also broke the all-time views record on Twitch, which was previously held by Eleague TV (1.1m views).
Streamers from outside the US have grown in prominence during the last few years, with international streamers – Spanish ones in particular – have grown in popularity on Twitch, taking up to 40% of the top most-viewed positions in 2020.
