Nike Celebrates ”Day Of The Dead” With Vibrant Sneaker Collection

Nike is celebrating this year’s “Day of the Dead” with an exclusive four-sneaker release, first available in Mexico.

The exclusive collection gives a fresh and colorful take on the Air Jordan 1 Mid, the Nike Air Max 90, Nike Daybreak Type, and Nike Blazer Mid.

Nike is celebrating the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday, Día de Los Muertos, with a family-inspired, three-sneaker release. The collection gives a fresh take on the Air Jordan 1 Mid and three never-before-seen remixes of staples from the Nike Sportswear roster, namely the Nike Air Max 90, Nike Daybreak Type, and Nike Blazer Mid.

Among the collection being released, the Air Jordan 1 Mid is the most awaited. It comes in a three-tone color scheme that is deeply rooted in those of traditional floral ofrendas – altars that are laid out during the Day of the Dead holiday, Día de Los Muertos.

The upper is made of shades of wine and white with texture details and the Swoosh rendered in marigold. The sneaker also features a “Familia” inscription that reminds us of what the holiday is all about.

Aside from the AJ 1, Nike is also releasing special exclusive rendering of the Air Max 90, Daybreak Type, and Blazer Mid.
