We wrote about Nextdoor back in 2013, when it was just over a year old. Now, it’s just over four, is worth over $1 billion, and it’s expanding to Europe. The social network has over 92,000 communities across the US and is eyeing up big-time expansion.

But why choose the Netherlands? Well, according to Nextdoor’s CEO and founder, Nirav Tolia, it’s because of the Dutch peoples’ “sense of belonging and togetherness,”. I couldn’t agree more! Nextdoor has been available as a private beta and is being tested in the Netherlands for months. It seems to be growing fast! In the last three months, there are over 90 communities.
