Netflix is finally giving fans the power to clip their favorite moments directly in-app. Until now, the platform only allowed viewers to bookmark scenes, handy for coming back later, but not ideal for capturing a specific moment. Starting today, Netflix is rolling out a new “Clip” feature that lets you set both a start and end point, turning that saved bookmark into a highlight you can actually share.

When watching on mobile, a “Clip” button will appear beneath the playback bar. Tap it, choose where the clip begins and ends, and you’ll have a neatly packaged highlight ready to save or share. Clips can be sent via iMessage, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more, making it easier than ever for Netflix moments to spill into social feeds.
The timing of the launch is no accident: it arrives just as Part 2 of Wednesday’s second season drops, a show built for fandoms who love sharing scenes, quotes, and edits.
With this update, Netflix is leaning into the way audiences already behave on TikTok and Instagram, clipping, remixing, and sharing moments, but now keeping that behavior native to its own app.
