McDonald’s Japan is taking a swing at nostalgia with a new collaboration that fuses fast food and arcade culture. Partnering with Capcom, the brand has unveiled a special Street Fighter–inspired “Street Burgers” menu launching on October 22, 2025, blending flavor, fun, and a healthy dose of 8-bit energy.
A Burger for Every Fighter
The limited-edition lineup pays tribute to three of Street Fighter’s most iconic characters, Ryu, Chun-Li, and Ken, with burgers designed to capture their unique personalities and fighting styles.
- Ryu: Burnt Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki Burger, bold, balanced, and full of power.
- Chun-Li: Yurinchi Mayo Chicken Burger, light, fast, and full of energy.
- Ken: Triple Cheese Beef Burger, fiery, indulgent, and unapologetically bold.
Each burger comes with collectible pixel-art packaging, echoing the retro 8-bit visuals that defined Street Fighter’s early years. Fans can also grab exclusive drinks like the Overflowing Energy McFizz and McFloat, both served in limited-edition cups.
The Experience Extends Beyond the Counter
The partnership doesn’t stop at the restaurant. In Street Fighter 6, players can unlock exclusive in-game rewards, including a limited outfit for M. Bison, and join a social media challenge for a chance to win McDonald’s gift cards. By linking the digital and physical worlds, McDonald’s is turning a simple meal into a full-blown cultural moment that merges gaming, food, and fandom.
A Pop Culture Power Move
After collaborations with Pokémon and One Piece, McDonald’s Japan continues to prove that it’s more than just a fast-food chain, it’s a pop culture brand fluent in nostalgia. By remixing familiar worlds into playful new experiences, the company is keeping both longtime fans and new generations engaged.
