One new prominent feature of the Recruiter platform is that it will show recruiters similar prospective hires, so that they can speed up their hiring process. More specifically, a recruiter will have to select the profile of an employee and LinkedIn will then create a list of candidates that share similar professional characteristics.
Apart from that, LinkedIn will also be launching a new feature to complement its Referrals feature. As you may already know, Referrals analyses a company’s employees and traces which of their 1st degree connections could be good potential hires.

The new service, called Spotlight, analyses employee’s contacts and sees which of them have liked the company’s page and have interacted with its updates. Moreover, if an employee sends a link for a job-opening to a potential candidate, then recruiters will get a notification as soon as the person applies.
Although updates will not be available until Q1 2016, it looks like LinkedIn is getting a lot smarter in its approach to recruitment.
