LinkedIn Adds Duolingo Scores on Profiles, AI Job Interview Simulations

LinkedIn is rolling out two new features designed to boost your professional presence and confidence: verified Duolingo language scores on profiles and AI-powered job interview simulations.

Verified Language Skills via Duolingo

For years, language skills on LinkedIn have been self-declared, useful, but often leaving recruiters uncertain about actual fluency. That’s changing with a new partnership between LinkedIn and Duolingo.

Now, when you list an additional language on your profile, you’ll be able to connect your Duolingo Score, giving potential employers a more credible measure of your ability. Even better, your score stays live: as you practice and improve in Duolingo, your profile will automatically update with your latest results.
That makes it easier for multilingual professionals to prove their skills, and for recruiters to find candidates with the right linguistic edge.

As per LinkedIn:

For a long time, language skills on LinkedIn have been self-declared, which is helpful but not always enough to give recruiters confidence in someone’s fluency. Now, with the option to add your Duolingo Score on your Profile, we’re making those skills more credible.”

AI Job Interview Simulations

LinkedIn is also introducing custom mock interviews, powered by AI, to help job seekers prepare with more precision.

When applying for a role, Premium subscribers can now generate a practice interview based on the job description. The tool serves up likely questions tied to the posting, giving applicants the chance to rehearse, identify weak spots, and walk into the real interview with more confidence. The feature doesn’t just reduce anxiety,  it helps candidates align their preparation directly with what the role requires.

Together, these updates expand LinkedIn’s role from a professional networking hub into a more active career-building platform. Verified language scores add credibility to global job seekers, while AI interview prep could become a vital tool for candidates navigating today’s competitive job market.
