LeBron James joins athletes like Serena Williams and Australian soccer player Mary Fowler but he will forever be the first ‘Kenbassador’.
LeBron James is already an NBA legend, Olympic gold medal winner and business mogul. As of today, he also is the first-ever official Kenbassador after Mattel launched his signature Barbie collection doll.

For LeBron this is more than just another award or recognition. Speaking on the honor of having Barbie and the LeBron James Family Foundation partner for the release of what marks the first Ken doll of a pro athlete, he tied his latest endeavor to what he sees as the importance of role models for young people:
“As a young kid, I was fortunate to have role models who not only inspired me but also showed me what’s possible through hard work and dedication,” LeBron said in a press release. “Now, as an adult, I understand how vital it is for young people to have positive figures to look up to. That’s why partnering with Barbie to release the LeBron James Kenbassadors doll is such an honor. It’s an opportunity to recognize the powerful impact of role models who instill confidence, inspire dreams, and show kids that they, too, can achieve greatness.”
The Barbie version of LeBron sporets a white and blue letterman jacket with his “LJ” initials printed on the front, and “LeBron” on the back, along with the phrase “Just a Kid from Akron.” On the left sleeve, there’s a blue and black Ohio patch as well as a green and gold crown logo from his foundation. The look is neat, completed a pair of Nike sneakers in a Lakers purple.
LeBron’s Barbie Signature Kenbassador doll will be available at select Target stores and online at Target, Amazon, Walmart and Mattel Creations for $75 starting Monday, April 14th at 12:00 AM EST. It will likely be sold out fast.
