Google is stepping up its fight against inbox overload with a new Gmail feature designed to make managing subscription emails a breeze.
Rolling out now across web, Android, and iOS in select countries, Gmail’s new “Manage subscriptions” tool helps users view all their active subscription emails in one place and quickly ditch the ones they no longer want.

With this new feature, Gmail organizes your subscriptions by the senders who email you the most, even showing how many messages they’ve sent in the past few weeks. Click on any sender and you’ll see every email they’ve sent you, plus, if you’ve had enough, Gmail can automatically send an unsubscribe request on your behalf.
“It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of subscription emails clogging your inbox: daily deal alerts that are basically spam, weekly newsletters from blogs you no longer read, promotional emails from retailers you haven’t shopped in years can quickly pile up,” Chris Doan, Gmail’s Director of Product, wrote in the announcement blog post.
Users can find the tool by tapping the navigation bar in the top-left corner of Gmail and selecting “Manage subscriptions.”
The feature isn’t entirely unexpected — some users spotted it being tested back in April. It builds on Gmail’s existing one-click unsubscribe tool, which launched last year to help users opt out of emails without having to hunt for hidden unsubscribe links buried at the bottom of messages.
The rollout has already started for web users, with Android users getting it from July 14 and iOS following on July 21. Google says it may take up to 15 days for the tool to reach everyone. It’s available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
