Google is rolling out a new “Purchases” tab in Gmail, designed to give users a quick overview of their upcoming package deliveries.
The new tab centralizes all purchase-related emails in one place, including past orders and current shipments, making it much easier to keep track of everything without digging through your inbox.

Gmail will still highlight packages set to arrive within 24 hours at the top of your inbox, but the new tab brings all your shipping and order details under one view.
This builds on Gmail’s package tracking feature, first launched in 2022, which let users follow shipments directly from their inbox without having to navigate to carrier websites.
Google notes the feature will be especially useful during the holidays, as PwC’s 2025 holiday outlook predicts that 39% of all gift spending will take place between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday. With purchases concentrated into such a short window, being able to track multiple deliveries in one place will save time and stress.
The Purchases tab starts rolling out today on both mobile and web for personal Google accounts worldwide.
Alongside the Purchases tab, Google is updating Gmail’s Promotions category. Users will soon be able to sort promo emails by “most relevant,” making it easier to spot deals from brands they actually care about. Gmail will also nudge users about timely offers and upcoming deals. This update will begin rolling out in the coming weeks on mobile for personal accounts.
The changes come just weeks after Gmail introduced a Subscriptions view, which gathers all subscription-related emails in one place and makes it easier to quickly unsubscribe from the ones you don’t need. Together, these updates continue Google’s push to make Gmail not just an inbox, but a personal hub for shopping, deals, and delivery tracking.
