Mozilla is rolling out a new profiles feature in Firefox that lets users create completely separate browsing spaces each with its own bookmarks, history, logins, extensions, and even themes.

Starting October 14, Firefox users will be able to organize their online worlds more intuitively, switching between work, side projects, and personal life with a single click.
If this sounds a bit like Chrome’s multiple profiles, you’re not wrong, but Mozilla’s take leans more toward privacy and focus than convenience. Each Firefox profile keeps its browsing data siloed, and users can customize them with different colors, avatars, and themes to make each digital identity instantly recognizable.
The idea builds on Firefox’s existing Multi-Account Containers extension, which already lets users isolate cookies and tracking information into separate tabs. Profiles take that logic a step further, turning it into a full browser experience.
“Profiles in Firefox aren’t just a way to clean up your tabs,” Mozilla explained. “They’re a way to set boundaries, protect your information, and make the internet a little calmer.”
