360 video is one of the hottest social trends in 2016 and we’ve only started to scratch the surface of how it might be applied in different industries. Facebook is casting the spotlight on some notable examples of 360 video in action during these few weeks.

In a Facebook media post entitled Facebook 360 Trend: Fashion, Paul Beddoe-Stephens, Partner Product Lead at Facebook’s 360 Video explains,
[quote]While the shows in New York, Paris, London, and Milan are packed with the celebrities, fashion buyers and the media, we’re seeing creators capturing unique aspects of Fashion Week via 360 video so that people around the world can experience the runway right on Facebook. [/quote]
The idea behind the use of 360 in these videos is simply to help users across the globe to “go behind the scenes of a fashion shoot, get a first-hand look at the action happening on the runway, and see a designer’s creative process”. You can watch them on Android and iOS devices and the web (Chrome only) and you either move your device from side to side or up and down, or click and drag with your cursor or finger depending on your device.
