Many publishers across the world have understood the benefits of Facebook Instant Articles. But here is the thing, it also created jealousy among publishers as only the big publications had access to the tool, hence giving them yet another competitive advantage against the smaller entities.
Facebook has heard them and the company will open Instant Articles to all publishers, of any size, and anywhere in the world.

Instant Articles were built to give an answer to slow loading times on mobiles when people were clicking away from Facebook and onto a publisher’s website. This being specially true as websites are not always perfectly optimised for mobile.

Facebook Instant Articles have had a frank success among the few selected (big) publishers that had to chance to work with the tool from its launch. Today, Facebook is ready to open up to all publishers, no matter their size, their marketing budget nor in which country they are located. And yes, this is GREAT news.
Josh Roberts, Instant Articles product manager made the announcement:
We’re excited to announce that on April 12th at Facebook’s F8 conference, we will be opening up the Instant Articles program to all publishers—of any size, anywhere in the world. To date, we’ve been working with a few hundred publishers around the world to build an incredibly fast and immersive reading experience for people on Facebook. While we were getting feedback and making improvements to Instant Articles, in parallel we’ve been building the tools to open up Instant Articles more broadly.
Instant Articles are not an automatic feature though, so you will have to tweak your content for it to be published using the new feature. However, Facebook promises it should not be too difficult to do so as the tool uses the languages of the web and works with most publishing CMS. If you want to check how you can implement Instant Articles, then head now to the technical documentation.

Of course, we still have to be patient until April 12th.
