Embedded social content has become quite popular as publishers find that it is one of the best ways to bridge the gap between their social and website’s content.
Facebook has been listening to feedback from publishers, and has now launched a revamped embedding mechanism, with cleaner and more design options, so you can make sure it always looks great on your site.
So, for example, embedded Live video will now be clearly identified as being “live” when shared on a website, and viewers will be able to see how many other people are currently viewing it.
Another great add-on, is the ability to embed public comments from Facebook on your site. This is definitely something most publishers have been expecting for a long time. It will bring interactivity and credibility to your embedding.

Also available now, the ability to customise the size of your embeds.
Custom Post Embed Size
Head over to the “Facebook Embeds Code Generator” where you will be able to customise the size of your embeds. Just copy/paste the URL of the post you would like to embed on your website, and then choose a custom width between 350 and 750 pixels. Changing the width will automatically resize the embedded post in height too.
Finally, Facebook explains that embeds will also start loading up to 60% faster on sites. This is great news, as most publishers were experiencing overall slower loading-times, mostly due to Facebook plugins and other embeds.
