Meta is giving Facebook a creator-centric upgrade with two new features: fan challenges and custom top fan badges.
Challenges let creators prompt their communities with themes, from cooking with butternut squash to sharing life goals, and fans respond with posts or Reels.
Submissions appear on a leaderboard tied to a unique hashtag, tapping into the trend that’s fueled TikTok and Instagram virality.
Meta says more than 1.5 million entries have already been submitted during testing.

On the engagement side, creators can now personalize top fan badges, transforming generic titles into branded nicknames (think Ed Sheeran’s “Sheerios” or Cardi B’s own twist).
Together, the updates underline Facebook’s push to make the platform feel more participatory, and a little more creator-friendly, even as Instagram continues to dominate the cultural conversation.
