There is no doubt you have come across some great branded cover photos while surfing on Facebook.
The cover photo on the Facebook timeline is the biggest branding opportunity and the most important piece of imagery for communicating the brand to followers.
First, lets’s look at some great examples from Guiness, Sprite and Philips Home Living:
See how these brands have played with both profile and cover photo to provide a full brand experience? To create a similar experience, make sure your profile picture and cover are part of one same image you will then cut using Photoshop. Also be keep in mind your profile picture will be shown by itself as thumbnail all over facebook, so make sure it remains representative of your brand and that it can be clearly identified by fans!
And we are so cool that we are providing your own PSD template to start with! Download it here ;)
And finally, to help you think about your timeline in global, we have this amazing guide book from Adobe Creative, available for download right here!
So have fun, be creative and we’d love to see some of your creations, so feel free to share links of your pages in the comments!
