OpenAI just turned ChatGPT into something much bigger than a chatbot. With its new app integrations, ChatGPT can now connect directly to services like Spotify, Canva, Figma, Zillow, Expedia, and Coursera, letting users design, shop, learn, and even plan trips without leaving the chat.

It’s a concept familiar to anyone who’s used mini-apps on Telegram or WeChat, but with an AI twist: instead of clicking through menus, you just tell ChatGPT what you want. The assistant handles the rest, whether that’s building a playlist, generating a design, or finding your next home.
Among the first integrations:
- Spotify: Create playlists, discover music or podcasts, and search artists directly in chat. Premium users even get fully personalized selections.
- Canva: Design social posts, edit visuals, or preview layouts — all from ChatGPT’s interface.
- Figma: Generate diagrams or iterate on design concepts before editing them in Figma.
- Zillow: Ask ChatGPT to “show me homes with a big backyard,” and Zillow returns listings with photos, maps, and prices.
- Expedia: Plan full trips with live prices, availability, and flight options.
- Coursera: Learn new topics and get AI-curated course recommendations in conversation.
Coming soon: Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, OpenTable, Target, Peloton, Tripadvisor, and AllTrails.
For now, the apps aren’t yet available in the EU, but OpenAI plans to open submissions to more developers later this year, building out a full ChatGPT App Store designed around usefulness, trust, and seamless integration.
